Ye, have not listened... we must control reproduction in order to create a new more perfect society... the means appear to be coming, if what I've read is correct, if they do arrive, we must begin legislating now.
There are worst fates then death, and for a child some parents might actually provide such a thing. Listen, listen to reason, logic, and truth, even if you do not find it amicable.
My local news paper showed the results of their investigations, most children who end up in a correctional institutions come from dysfunctional families. They'll be the ones committing crimes as adults. We can virtually end this we can put an end to crime, to child abuse, to neglect.
We can create a world where all those who are born receive love and attention, are provided with adequate health care and education. A world where the parents are fit to be parents, but such a world demands that rights be given and rights be taken.
This is the inevitable truth that will be embraced by the world, but we can hasten it and save countless lives from constant suffering, death, rape, humiliation, by embracing it sooner.
Sure, it might happen, but casual partial birth abortions are rare if at all.
Really? HEh, I've known of many abortions, none were due to medical problem, all were casual. Upper class parents of school girls worried about what upper society might think, have committed many of them. As sexuality ran rampant, and their children were constantly engaged in the act, and often without protection, they had to resort to something. After all a pregnant 13-15yr old doesn't look nice, nor fit in a prestigious christian and private school.
Decade after decade, dozens of abortions just in my local area, imagine it across the entire United States... millions of casual abortions. Now ask yourself: Wouldn't it have been better if their children didn't get pregnant in the first place?
THE LOGICAL HUMANE ANSWER to that is YES!!! And the means are going to arrive soon( a few years from what I've read)
What are these means of which I speak? Supposedly they were able to temporarily sterilize animals with 100% EFFICACY and NO SIDE EFFECTS for a whole year. A simple annual shot is all that was required, and the females created anti-bodies that attached to the sperm's digesting enzyme, prohibiting it from entering the egg. After one year, the anti-bodies dissapeared and fertility was resumed.
Human trials will soon start, and if the same holds true for them.... we will have the means for finally implementing reproduction control en masse.
Some supposed bad apples should not limit others', who have legitimate reasons, choice to get a late term abortion.
If what I've said holds, and becomes available there is no logical reason to perform or allow/permit casual abortions left except just for the sake of aborting... and many would say, that it's better not allowing such a thing. Only ones involving medical reasons would have any right to be performed then.
if the child is able to be born, even though the mother could potentially die, the baby should not be aborted; if the pregnancy is killing both the baby and the mother, then abortion is necessary.
Well, right now we can't stop mothers from getting pregnant, and some might debate, and even fight to their deaths for the right to have a choice. Do they have this right, well we're limited technologically at present... But, I won't enter into these arguments right now... and instead I'lll say this:
Once the technology to have a child in an artificial womb is advanced enough to be as safe, or safer than the natural method, and cost effective, the mother should only be allowed natural pregnancy upon agreement of the quoted conditions, provided the child's at an advance stage whereupon consciousness infrastructure is present, and no method for safe transfer into a-womb is present. After all the child could have been born anyway artificially in such a scenario, it was her choice in such a case.
Oh, and by allowing your gov. to extravantly spend in out-dated military h/w, and wasting their money on pork esque projects, and have such a cheap bio-ethics committee, instead of investing in such technological improvements... the arrival of the necessary technologies is delayed.
People should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies... drugs... tattoos... anything.
Their bodies presently have the ability to bring forth another individual. So they're able to, if not prohibited, to smoke, use drugs, etc. and injure the developing being, and causing abnormalities or death.
After birth, they're able to sexually mutilate, physical harm or even kill this child, and hide the evidence, if they gave birth outside a hospital and no outside witness to the pregnancy. As the child develop they're able to provide hostile environments, that can allow the child to develop abnormal behavior, traumas, etc. Whereupon the grown child will perpetuate this cycle with his own children, and in addition maybe kill and harm others individuals in his lifetime due to his psychological problems, etc.
By not agreeing to reproduction control, you help perpetuate this cycle of suffering and death, and you're putting your life, your mental and physical health, that of your loved ones, and that of your descendants in risk. You're in effect partly responsible for the sexual abuse, physical abuse, criminal acts, etc. that are perpetrated by others upon your present family and your descedants.
Well I'm going to have to take the fence on this one. I think both the pro-life and pro-choice groups have valid arguements. I think the main problem is, when is a fetus truely alive. It's a question that's both based in science ... and yet not.
The question isn't when does it become alive, but when does it obtain the sufficient infrastructure for consciousness. For it is always alive, but with an error here or there, it might never be conscious, even after exciting the womb. The rest of the biological matter is MEANINGLESS, only the conscious infrastructure and the ability to be conscious is to hold value in our society.
You know what scientists need to do? They need to figure out a process to sterilize all woman when they are born, and when the woman feels ready to have children, she can go to the doctor and become unsterilized free of charge. It would solve a mess of problems
LOGIC, that's the voice of logic my friend, keep using your voice and spread the word. The rest will one day understand, those less fortunate will understand after gm is implemented and their abilities increased.
There's a shot that women can take that keeps them from having a period for six months, I believe. I don't know why more women don't use this, so I'm thinking it's either expensive to have these shots or there are some side effects to them (or both).
Not really the same thing... but almost there.
There's a new longer lasting, far more effective one that's coming as I've said.
As far as the population problem is concerned, this planet has doubled in people since I've lived on it. This explosion of people is getting scary. It is a worrisome thought to having 10 billion people here which is the next milestone we are so quickly arriving at.
Just wait until they cure aging(which is likely within this century, if no global disaster, or no fundamentalist group takes control of a significant portion of the modern world)
No child should have to go through the adoption route with the risk of not being wanted only to have a shit life anyway.
No child should... no child should suffer from physical or sexual abuse, or neglect, or the like. No, they shouldn't spend their time in jail when they're older, nor should they ever kill or steal.
The answer my friend is right there, the inevitable truth, that will come one day... but that can be hastened. It's called REPRODUCTION CONTROL, mass sterilization with option for fertility, etc. It's inevitable, let us hasten it and bring a new age upon this world, a new utopic age, this is the key. To control the environmental and genetic components of new individuals/minds, in order to allow for the development of healthy apt beings that will contribute to society, and virtually wipe out all forms of crime.
The child only has the right to live because it was granted so by the two people who created it in the first place. As this is an internet message board and everything written gets picked over worse than a presidential speech I'll cover my ass by saying that there is an age point where by termination should no longer be an option.
Hah, they created nothing. The molecules and spacetime involved were already there, and the threads of fate did their job. In any case, it's not creation that gives rights to someone, if it did it, and you assume you're right and they created them, then there wouldn't be reason for them to be ever removed.
